1. Application for a Mexican visa

Currently, the Mexican government does not exempt Vietnamese citizens from visas. However, Vietnamese citizens who have visas or temporary visas of the following countries will be exempted from Mexican visas for tourism and business purposes:

  • Visa for the US, Japan, UK, Canada (valid for at least 06 months from the date of entry).
  • Schengen visa (valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry).
  • Holders of APEC business card.

Vietnamese citizens who do not fall into the above cases need to apply for a Mexican visa when entering this country and must prepare a Mexican visa application.

2. About personal papers

For Vietnamese citizens:

  • ID card.
  • Registration book.
  • Marriage certificate.
  • Personal account statement for the last 3-6 months.
  • Red book of real estate (if in name).
  • 2 photos 3.5×4,5 (white font, front view, exposed ears).
  • Original passport (6 months validity) and old passports (if any).
  • Provide the phone number of the visa applicant.

For foreign citizens: In addition to the above documents, foreign citizens need to provide a Work Permit and a Vietnam Residence Card when applying for a Mexican visa.

3. About papers to prove profession

If you are a business owner, you need:

  • Business Registration.
  • VAT declaration for the last 3 months / 1 quarter.

If you are an employee, you should:

  • Labor contract or Decision on appointment of position.
  • Salary slip for the last 3 months.
  • Application for leave.

If retired, need:

  • Retirement book/Retirement decision/Retirement card.
  • Retirement table of the last 3 months.

If you are a child under 18 years of age, you should:

  • Birth certificate.
  • Student ID/Student ID card.
  • Application for leave of absence.
  • Letter of consent from the parent to accompany the mother/father (in case both parents cannot accompany the child).

If you apply for a tourist visa to Mexico, you need to provide a travel itinerary.

If applying for a visa for the purpose of providing, add:

  • Invitation letter from the partner (clear scan and original).
  • Business license of the partner (clear scan).
