PEOPLE INTO VIETNAM WILL NOT HAVE TO ISOLATION FROM THIS 15/3
According to the latest guidance of the Ministry of Health in Official Letter No. 1265/BYT-DP on "prevention of COVID-19 epidemic for people entering on March 15, 2022, people entering Vietnam will not have to be quarantined. Children under 2 years old entering the country are not required to be tested but must meet a number of conditions. Specifically:
1. For people on entry
People entering by air need:
- Negative test result for SARS-CoV-2 (except for children under 2 years old) before departure within 72 hours if using RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method or within 24 hours if using method Rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
- Certified by the competent authority.
Persons entering by land, waterway or railway need:
- The same tests are required for entry by air.
- If there is no negative result for SARS-CoV-2, a test for SARS-CoV-2 must be performed within the first 24 hours from the time of entry;
In particular, children under 2 years old are not required to be tested for SARS-CoV-2; Those who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have never been infected with SARS-CoV-2 are allowed to enter and participate in activities outside the accommodation with their parents and relatives.
2. People on entry must make a medical declaration before entering and use the medical declaration application (PC-COVID) during their stay in Vietnam according to regulations.
3. People on entry must self-monitor their health for 10 days from the date of entry.
