VIETNAM RESTORES IMPORT AND EXPORT POLICY FROM March 15

In order to restore Vietnam's tourism industry in the new context, on March 15, 2022, the Government Office issued Document No. 1606/VPCP-QHQT on the restoration of Vietnam's immigration policy. Male. Specifically:
1. Restore immigration measures and procedures for foreigners and overseas Vietnamese as before the application of restrictive measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic from March 15/ 2022.

2. Expeditiously implement the Government's Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated March 15, 2022 on visa exemption for citizens of 13 countries: Germany, France, Italy, West Spain,…

3. The formulation of immigration policies with partners within the framework of bilateral and multilateral relations is assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with other agencies in, implementation; at the same time continue to negotiate with other countries on the recognition of each other's vaccine passports, creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese citizens to go abroad; promulgating guidelines for the application of vaccine passports by foreigners in Vietnam; notify relevant countries/territories about the change in Vietnam's immigration policy.

4. Guidance on medical conditions for people on entry shall be assigned to the Ministry of Health for promulgation.

5. Strengthen the residence management for foreigners entering according to regulations and in line with epidemic prevention and control measures.

The above move from the Government has shown Vietnam's efforts in restoring the tourism industry in particular and the economy in general to gradually develop and integrate with the world after the epidemic.

Official Letter 1606/VPCP-QHQT takes effect from March 15, 2022.
